Government

Kensington was incorporated in 1894 with a mayor and council form of government, which is retained today. The Mayor and four Council Members are elected for two-year terms.  The Town Manager takes care of the day-to-day operations of the town.

Please join us for our monthly Town Council Meetings so you can observe firsthand how our local government works. The meetings are held in Town Hall on the second and fourth Mondays of each month beginning at 7 p.m., unless otherwise stated.
