A description of staff responsibilities follows:

The Town Manager is responsible for planning, organizing, directing and coordinating all municipal activities including the Public Works Department; serves as the chief administrative officer, and is responsible for the proper administration of all affairs of the Town. The Town Manager serves under the Mayor's delegated authority.

The Code Enforcement Officer  is "to maintain enforcement responsiveness that reflects upon public needs and concerns regarding health and safety, and to provide uniform, effective and timely code enforcement services to the residents of the Town of Kensington." Responsibilities include responding to and investigating citizen complaints, enforcing municipal codes with respect to illegal signs, dumping, junk vehicles, property maintenance, parking violations, residential and commercial building permits, health and environmental regulations.

The Clerk/Treasurer is the custodian of the legal records of the City; helps prepare and maintains the Town budget; keeps a record of all proceedings of the Town Council;   prepares, maintains and records all laws, ordinances, and resolutions adopted and enacted by the Town Council;  and issues permits.

The Administrative Assistant/Events Coordinator/ Facility Manager manages all issues relating to and involving the usage, maintenance and rental of Town properties, including Town Hall and St Paul Park, town liaison for all town events, manages the weekly Farmer's Market; maintains Town records and handles day-to-day correspondence and communication.
